DIY Movie “Trading Cards”

My project of compiling some of my favorite Cannon produced movies into DVD compilations has been going well (albeit a bit slow). As I’ve been working on these discs, making “Main Menu” screens for the DVD, the idea popped into my noggin’ of making a sort of “trading card” for these, as well.

Yet another update on my DVD burning project; I wrote a small BASIC program for my C128 to print covers for my DVD cases. Although most of the discs I’m creating will be going into the DVD organizer, some special collections I want to put on the shelf, with our studio produced discs.

I resurrect my Sony DVD Player from the ashes

It’s been buried on a shelf for a few years now, being put there ever since the disc loading tray refused to open and close without jamming. But, this evening, I was determined to do what I could to get it functional again. Turns out all this trouble was caused by one tiny little belt.

My solution to terrible DVD packaging

I’ve finally found a solution to the terrible packaging you typically find with DVD “boxed sets” of your favorite T.V. shows. My solution was to toss the flimsy, frustrating and space wasting boxes you usually get with DVD boxed sets and replace them with the MegaDisc brand aluminum reinforced optical disc storage trunk, with hanging file storage system.
